Fall Workshop for Beginners | Niagara Photography Education

September 3 is rapidly approaching, and that means it’s workshop time!  For those of you who are already signed up, you are so smart! To those of you who want to but haven’t yet, please call or email me ASAP.  Three out of the five spots are filled.  It’s a full day class, from 9:30 am-4:30 pm.  Cost is $250.  We only do this group workshop once a year!  Here are a few images of last year’s workshop.

Behind the Family Scene | Niagara Family Photography

A short film behind the scenes of a family photography session. An assistant (thanks Ashley!) picked up the pocket video camera and took some casual, fun footage that I mixed with their images to create this video. I love it! Music is “Shine On Us” by Cory Asbury.

One on One Workshop | Niagara Photography Education

Sharon and I got together last Saturday to learn and grow and have fun doing it! We talked a lot about business, but also about camera settings, light, answer lots of questions and photographed a studio and on location session! All in all, it was a super eventful day!

Here’s what Sharon had to say, “”Hi Karen…I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you so much for the wonderful workshop on Saturday. I thoroughly enjoyed shooting on location and in the studio as well as being able to have my questions answered about photography and its business aspect. I drove home with so much exciting information, knowledge and inspiration from the day. I look forward to implementing them in my business. Thank you… thank you… thank you!”

*sigh*

Spring Giveaway | Niagara Professional Photography

Well, spring is here and I am pumped!  So pumped, in fact, that I’m doing a spring giveaway!  All the sessions that take place in May and June are eligible to win this fantastic prize.  It’s a custom 25×25 inch wood frame built by the amazing husband and wife team, Marjorie and John, at Shaw Gallery,  here on King Street West in Beamville, Ontario, Canada.  It will be personalized with your preferred 10×10 inch portrait from your session.  Easel not included.  The random draw will take place on July 2, 2010 and the winner will be posted here on the blog.  Good luck to all participants!

Family | Niagara Photography

April 15, 2010 – 10:40 am

Wow, did I ever have a great time with this session last week! We invaded the backyard of another awesome client of mine in Vineland, Ontario, Canada (Thanks, guys!) and after a few minutes the girls grew nice and comfortable with my camera…as you can see! I am so blown away by these.

Here’s what Mom had to say, “…Me… speechless? Does not happen often but I think you did it. What a talent God has given you. I could not be more pleased. You will be getting lots of referrals from me. That is for sure !!! Thanks so much!!!!”

Ahhhh, how I love my job! :)
